I laud the intent, but the dead bough decorations, with the sad piano music, seem a little much to me, just a hair over the line from supportive to maudlin. Isn't the recognition of grief and refraining from "the contrived good cheer" of holiday decor enough, without literally draping crepe as a contrived expression of sorrow? I suspect I would have trouble not snickering, though I still have a pretty hard time with my own grief during the holidays.

Yeah, we ended up playing his "Soulful Christmas" a few times in memorial.

We had included it on an earlier holiday mix.
