How's that culture of life working out for you?
Among the many problems plaguing fundamentalists is a serious lack of irony.
The folks who buy into the "culture of life" bushwah have: been arrested for offering a hefty bounty to whomever murders Michael Schiavo; been arrested for stealing a gun in an attempt to "rescue" Terri Sciavo; disrupted other folks who might also like to enjoy the right to die in dignity; harassed people simply because they happened to live next to the hospice. And this is why their insistence that they're all about respecting the sanctity of human life seems like a really bad joke.
But ... who's the joke really on? Them, for not understanding how their actions speak louder than their words? Or me, for expecting anyone who's pro-anything to actually, you know, demonstrate some positive understanding of their position?
You may want to include the people who want to kill her through food. http://msnbc.msn.com/id/7325586/
"OLBERMANN: That sign there. The one that says "Feed her." You’ve followed the story at all, you’ve seen it in television coverage or a newspaper photo. You’ve probably not noticed the Web site address at the bottom. It’s for the site of Chicago radio host and past COUNTDOWN guest Steve Dahl. On his broadcast Friday, Dahl announced a plan to send someone to Florida in the hopes that that someone could deliver a pizza and a blender to Mrs. Schiavo."

In a similar vein is the treatment of these pro-lifers to her family on the news here (Australia) a few nights ago they showed her brother (who wanted her to live) going out to the protestors to ask them not to antagonise the police and the hospital workers, which was a reasonable request considering that some had been going into the hospital and protesting. These people who have never met Mrs. Schiavo, started yelling at him and abusing him so he just gave up and went back inside the hospital. These people have no repect for anyone.

Nay, that's wrong on so many levels. I guess they respect "Life", just not "People."

The protesters have even disrupted an elementary school nearby. They're certainly making names for themselves - and they're not good ones.

Sadly, the joke is on all of us.

I think we need to understand that 'pro-life' must stand for 'pro-interfering with YOUR life' instead of 'oh, yeah, we're for all life in all forms.'
