Hell hath no fury like a liberal arts major scorned
The lovely, charming and talented Stephanie Vander Weide (aka Keckler) makes a case for the merits of an English degree that have this biology graduate wishing for a do-over, or at least a chance to double-major. She notes, correctly, that the comprehension and analytical skills one picks up in an English degree are not confined to mere reading and writing; this is but one more bolstering argument in favor of giving people a core liberal-arts education that manages to combine the ever-so-popular "ways of knowing" with actual knowledge.
